Mercedes Tabano of Resort Realty was named the 2008 REALTOR® of the Year by the Outer Banks Association of Realtors®. The announcement was made at the Association’s REALTOR® BALL held Friday, December 12, 2008 at Hilton Garden Inn in Kitty Hawk.

The annual award is given to an agent who provides superior service, participated in member associations at the local, state and national levels; and adheres to the code of ethics established by the National Association of REALTORS®.

The REALTOR® of the Year award recognizes Mercedes outstanding service to her profession and community. Mercedes Tabano’s commitment to the Association is evident in her active roles including serving as the 2007 President, a Board Officer, MLS Chairman, a member of the Board of Directors and various other committees.
